Fires in Self Storage Facilities
They are everywhere. People have a lot of stuff and nowhere to put it.
What's behind door number 3? Your guess is as good as mine. Furniture, vehicles, drugs, ammunition or maybe someone is living there is all in the realm of possibilities. In so many cases, vacant commercial buildings are converted to self-storage facilities.
They can be single story or multi-story. Prefab self storage units made of light weight metal partition walls are everywhere. Roll up doors, heavy fire loads and gated access to the complex will be a challenge.
In this two hour online presentation, we will review various types of construction methods, building types and other features within self storage facilities. We will also discuss some of the inherent hazards regarding the contents within a self-storage facility.
Strategy and tactics will cap off this presentation.
