May 2002
Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a vehicle off the road.

On arrival it was discovered that a unloaded log truck had left the road
at a high rate of speed and crashed ito the trees. The truck came to rest at a
steep angle in deep brush. Chainsaws had to be used to gain access to the truck.
The driver was still inside the cab and suffering from a large laceration on his forehead,
a broken right arm, and possible rib fractures and internal injuries.
The terrain made extrication difficult as you can see in the pictures.

Due to camera difficulties these are the only pictures of this incident.
